Making a moonstone pendant

This graduation season, I was honored to make this sweet moonstone for a very special high school graduate who is about to set off on some amazing adventures.

Here’s a tip I learned from my teachers: to highlight that beautiful moonstone flash, put a piece of black electrical tape behind it! I like to adhere the tape to a piece of paper so I can cut it and place it inside the bezel cup as I need to without getting it stuck to me (or itself), and the paper is thin enough that it doesn’t add to the thickness and mess up my math when figuring out how tall the bezel needs to be
