Studio time: Polishing old tools


I never imagined that studio maintenance would become among my favorite activities. I inherited a bunch of well-loved tools from a retiring metalsmith. They were beautiful and obviously well-loved but needed a lot of TLC. It took all afternoon, but I’ve refinished and polished a bunch of them! I used my JoolTool, which made the job a lot easier than it could have been. I still have a bunch of tools to polish—some of which are below, but check out that riveting hammer. and then compare it with the finished product above.
